I remember having wake up lag on the old Galaxy...but didn't expect it with the new SII.... Just wondering if anyone else is having the lag from when you push the power button till the screen pops up to swipe to unlock it?

no lag here, but i dont no what u mean by lag
this is my first smart phone
it turns on pretty fast..doesnt feel like lag to me

i mean its not INSTANT but its almost instant, i can tell there is a delay but nothing that would quailfy as lag

Not the actual turning on itself. Which is the fastest smart phone I ever had! It is blazing fast!!!

Its when you just turn off your screen, then press the power button, the time from when I press it till the screen actually turns on.

There is about a second of lag I've seen. I wonder if that'll go away with a cooked ROM.

at first my wake up was fine but after hours of use there is maybe 1-2 second delay for sure

=[

I don't know, it's awkward to me to have to hit a button on the side of the phone to see the time. Can I swipe or do something?

No alternate wake up methods, yet, and I'm not sure there will be.

Also, I notice no lag when I press the power button.

I doubt that, since the buttons are capacitive. You would also butt dial a lot, too.

i notice it. i've used the default image swipe, and the pattern unlock and there is definitely about 1 second lag from pressing the power/screen button, till image appears and i can unlock.

It only seems apparent when the screen has been off for a bit - not if you turn on and off screen quickly.

I see the lag as well...
It's like a second or two after depressing the button before it comes on.
Not a real pain, just something I noticed when I got it.

It didn't do it on my Infuse, probably why I noticed it on this...

ok im surprised no one posted this yet but in another forum i read this is due to your cpu downclocking when the screen is off, so its actually a good thing!

I remember that being the same issue with the old Galaxy. I rooted to the old one to kill that, which did work, but with speeding up the CPU for just that did kill the battery quicker. I am just so used to the speed of the unlock screen coming up on my HTC.
