Wallet funds with adding a card?

Like the title says I need to know if anyone knows a work around for the 25$ credit it says I need to add a card to activate it but for some reason Google keeps declining my card I need that 25$.

Does the google prepaid card work in the play store? You could try installing google wallet, activate the prepaid card (which nets you $10 right there) and may let you qualify for the $25 on top. Not sure though. Worth a shot.

That's the first thing I tried got the 10 but idk think it's for the play store. I gotta checkout of it has numbers like a real cc does if that's the case it might work if Google let's me use it on the play store but I doubt it

As soon as you register your google account with the N7 your will automatically get $25 on google play, not wallet. When you add google prepaid card for the first time you will get $10 on that, wallet only.

I have a Galaxy Nexus and the N7 and I can confirm that the google prepaid card, least for me, is separate for each device. My GN has a balance of $3 from previous purchase, and my N7 has $10.

I have not tested this yet but I am curious if wallet on the N7 will work if you are not connected to a wifi connection. Would anyone know for sure?

So I'll need to manage two separate Google prepaid cards? Screw that. I'll stick to using my GNex for Google Wallet then. It's not like I'm going to press the Nexus 7 up to the scanner at Wawa. People look at me strangely enough when I use the GNex.

Well regardless, I'm pretty sure you had to have a working credit card attached to your account prior to registering the Nexus 7. I was part of the Cr-48 pilot program and one of the leaders of the forum that works at Google said that the $25 credit was a reward for having an active credit card on Google Wallet prior to the registration of the device. I did not have a credit card attached to my account so I attached one a while ago and bought a few songs to show the account is active in anticipation of the coming device.

You do not have to have an active card it says add a card and get 25 in the play store and the 25 is the bonus for the nexus 7 tab. Where do you get your info

Only reference i see to $25 Google Wallet is when registering a Virgin Mobile phone, not a N7.

I didnt notice that when i activated mine..

Since finding that the N7 Wallet has a different Google prepaid card and balance than what is on my GN i called Wallet support to see if I can merge them. They told me that the cards are generated automatically and that they cannot merge them between the two devices but would raise my concern.

I went ahead and asked about the $25 Wallet bonus that a few people here been talking about. The rep on the phone said that there are other promotions for other devices but there is not a promotion for the N7 that he is aware of. The $10 is the only bonus for activating new devices.

OP, I know paypal used to offer digital debit card numbers into your paypal account, that could be hooked up to your bank account/credit card. You could see if they do that, and see if Google will accept it.

God, I hate that site. What's worse, is when you do it, and it's not as obvious as you think, you look like more of a troll than just for simply posting the link.

A lot of people seem to be having this confusion.

The play store checks out through Google Wallet. It has for quite a while now. When you get an N7, you get a $25 coupon to Google Play in your Google Wallet. If you haven't spent your $25 gift card yet, you can sign in to wallet.google.com, go to payment methods, and you will see your $25 Google Play balance.

This is different than the Google Wallet Prepaid card.You get $10 for activating this. A lot of people seem to think the OP is asking about this card, when in fact, he is right in asking about the $25 Google Wallet funds. It's just a gift card instead of the prepaid card. Two "cards", same service.
