wallpaper and lockscreen resize

so i got a wallpaper got download onto phone from computer on sd card but for some odd reason i cannot make it show the whole picture full screen in lock screen and homepage i cannot seem get this working right

can somebody help me on this situation

How big is the image in terms of resolution and file size?

well some are like from my phone i was able to like an app wallpaper wizzardi apk i used to like stretch stuff scale etc etc some of images are like 384.289 23.23 kb
63.84 640/486 840/480 i try new version but wasn't a fan

so i gave up it seems prob none of the old wallpapers i got on my phone will not work with this one anymore i can do them but half of will be showing left and right side

i have not change wallpaper yet because i don't know what to do i try a resize app but didn't know how to do it right and didn't involved lockscreen

Sorry, I'm not sure what you're saying. The bottom line is that if you want the wallpaper to fill the whole screen, you need to find an image that matches the resolution of your screen.

so half of those old wallpapers never going to work anymore eh what i was saying like i got this 1 wallpaper it has christmas tree little girl looking at christmas star the tree and her on the left side of wallpaper if you scroll to right a little bit she's pointing to the star

that's my issue i got wallpapers like that and not sure how to get it match resolution of screen

If the wallpaper images you have are much lower resolution than your screen, it probably won't be able to stretch to fill the whole screen (unless the phone has an option for that -- I don't know for sure, since I don't have a Samsung device, but maybe @mustang7757 can answer that).

What do you want to happen? If the aspect ratio of your screen is different than the wallpaper is, it sounds like you may want to stretch or squash some of the wallpaper to match the screen ratio. But if there is a big difference in ratios, some images can look very bad.

If size/resolution is a problem, the same tools can batch resize to the phone screen dimensions.

Use one of those tools to make a version of the images exactly match the resolution of the phone.

If what you want for images with different ratios is pan and scan like your Christmas tree example, that will pretty much be a image by image manual crop. No way software can know exactly if you would prefer to lose some off the top, bottom, left, right sides if you don't want to stretch an image with a different aspect ratio then the phone.

Those tools should be able to let you do those on a case by case basis.

There are several freeware Windows tools that will bulk change the ratios. I believe IRFanView can do all of that.

Even if the images aspect ratios are the same but different resolutions than the phone, there are slight advantages from resizing them to the same resolution. Doing that eliminates the need for the phone to resize them every time they're displayed.

Where you download these wallpapers from? A good place to get wallpapers is Zedge app as it for phones display size .
