Wallpaper for Optimus V?

Are there any good places to get static wallpaper optimized for the Optimus V?

Or if making your own, any info on what resolution/dpi to make it for best apperance on the Optimus V?

Lastly, do "live" wallpapers use noticeably more battery than static wallpaper?

There is some wallpaper in the Harmonia thread, but really there is nothing special about it.
Resolution and size don't matter, pull it up in gallery set it as wallpaper and it will let you adjust a box clipping it, and auto-resizing it to work best.

The optimal size is 480x640, but any will work.


Live wallpapers do not significantly hurt battery life, you might lose a bit more, but not what many think. However, some are not very well done and mess up. One I really like goes all wonky once the device warmed from use, others worked fine.

The zedge app works very well. You can search download and install already set for the optimus v. And you can get ringtones. Been using zedge for a long time now.

the resolution of the screen is 320x480, but the wallpaper scrolls horizontally across the homescreens.

the ideal size is 640 by 480, which is a 1:1 pixel match vertically and allows the wallpaper to scroll with the homescreens.

however, ANY size will work, the phone resizes it to 640x480 and aliases it regardless of whatever size it was. so go ahead and use any picture you damn well please. hahhaa


also, live wallpapers, they are all coded differently, some are battery hogs, others arent. read reviews.

usually, their designed to NOT be using all the battery, however, some require more processing power than others. they are all different.
