wallpaper location

I hit the menu button when I'm on my home screen, options pop up and one of those options is wallpaper. i hit wallpaper then it asks select wallpaper from gallery or live wallpaper or wallpaper list. how can i add a folder to my sd card for wallpaper and be able to have the wallpaper show up in my phone wallpaper list where if i select wallpaper, the wallpaper i added on my sd card be in the wallpaper list and not the gallery?

right now, on my sd card my wallpaper folder is located as a sub folder of media folder and my wallpaper showed up in my gallery, id like my wallpaper i place on my sd card to show up when i select wallpaper from my menu select list, is that possible?

Not sure this will really help... but I created a Wallpaper folder at the Root of my SD card. I still have to select Gallery after I select Wallpaper... there is no way to get it any easier that I know of... just move your Wallpaper folder up to the same level as your Media folder.

i would have liked to be able to pick the wallpaper i put on my sd card from my wallpaper selection optioin in my phone and not from the gallery? ...is that the only place my phone will pick up the wallpaper i place on an sd card folder being in the gallery?

Those wallpapers are built into the Home application. You would need to edit some system files (different files depending on your OS) and put them in.

does my phone have to be rooted to do that?

Yes. Depending on your phone, it also might need to be deodexed. Your best bet would be to talk to someone who makes themes for your phone.
