Walmart currently (until Dec 3rd) is giving away $100 gift cards when purchasing/upgrading any new phone.

The Samsung GalaxyS II at my local store is $98.99, add the $100 gift card and its almost like a free phone (minus the tax of course)!
I probably spend a hundred a week there anyways so seems like a no brainer.

Guess I'll stop waiting on the Vivid's price to drop under $100 and go with Samsung..

The promo was for any smartphone (except iPone) on a two year activation.

They are able to do that because they get a several hundred dollar commission with activations and they just cut into their own profit since sales are also increased.
