Wanna help me understand?!

Ok, so I am pretty new to android, still just playing with it and am not well versed in all these technical aspects. All I want to do right now is install a theme, and this particular theme says I need Pandahome. I don't know exactly what pandahome is, or the other things like openhome, etc. What do they do? What's the best one? That's not rooting your phone is it? Thanks so much for taking the time to help!

i do not use open home or pandahome but essentially they are themes launchers that use themes to replace the look of your icons and such couldnt tell you how good they are i do not use them.

i like adw or launcher pro for launchers which customize the look of your launcher bar and its properties also can speed up the device,

and none of these root your device that must be done seperately.
