Im sure the 15 min limit is not in a app but with google. Once they fully roll this out and you can't stop it. Should be on all phones in next two weeks.

My market was automatically updated. I woke up opened the market to check for app updates and bingo I have the new market.

here is a question: if you sideload the apk, will you receive any further market app automatically?

if for some reason you didnt, you could always go into the app and "uninstall updates". then get the latest market update pushed to your device.
