Not that I don't want to do this on my own; I'm just concerned of the drawbacks. I'm running Launcher Pro and never use Bluetooth. I hear HTC Sense has a few querks with this.

Those are all of the drawbacks that I've heard about. Are there any more? Aside from a full data wipe I guess.

Whatever the downsides to this are, they will be the same with the OTA when it comes out....other than losing your data of course which won't happen with the OTA.

I'm glad this is out though in case those of us who installed the original MR2 leak don't get the update for some reason.

I was just thinking of asking how to grab the file after OTA download before it installed, but now i don't have to.

Anybody load this up yet?

Since this is the official MR2 update that's coming out shortly, I'll download it and report back. I'm running MR2 currently so if I notice any differences, you'll know.

I'm going to wait on this one since i'm not having any problems. If I dont get the OTA in a day or two, i'll manually install it. Let me know how it works though.

I wouldnt jump to that conlusion too fast. It just started pushing out. Last update took quite a few days to hit the majority of folks.

Thankfully, the hard way isn't really that difficult. It'll give us time to look at everything as we go lol.

True the "hard way" as I mentioned really wasn't when I did the MR2 leak.

Yes, because it's a file that overwrites the old file completely.

Yes it's a full (bloated) RUU. Make sure you verify the md5 before flashing

Sorry, I am a noob. What do you mean by verify the md5?

It's used to verify that you don't have a corrupt (bad) download. You can use hash droid from your phone to verify, or this little program if you use windows.
