Not an expert by any stretch of the imagination but can't you factory reset, apply the OTA?

If you are rooted, then I'm afraid you won't be able to get the OTA update, only thing should be try looking for the update file and flash it via Odin, and if you update your phone, some are saying that the PingPong root doesn't work anymore, again, some people say that, I don't know for sure.

This is exactly why you should not root a phone in the first year of owning it 1 you cannot get updates 2 you void the warranty

PingPongRoot has been updated to Beta6 and now works with AT&T again. Check to make sure your rom is supported though.
Until FlashFire is working with the S6, Yes, you'll have to flash back to stock un-rooted rom first, get the OTA update or flash the rom with the update in it already, then re-root.

Yeah, becuase you shouldnt be able to use something that you own!!! ESPECIALLY IF SPRINT DOSNT WANT YOU TO USE IT THAT WAY! ....stfu ******
