" Just put your cell number, whatever name is on the Sprint account you want to upgrade, and the date that your upgrade was or would have been available (if not for the program change) in an email and send it off to UpgradeRestore@sprint.com " OR sprintcares@sprint.com

EDIT: Many people are getting a quicker response from sprintcares@sprint.com as an alternative solution ... Try both for good measures.

Do you think I'd have a chance of getting an upgrade for a line that doesn't have a full upgrade until October 2012:confused:

Anything is possible ... They really must want people to upgrade to this phone ... I say try it and see ... Couldn't anything.

Wow, sending an email to Sprint you could either pay $500 on Friday or pay $200, why not take your chances?

Fortune favors the bold

I was already going to send it, just trying to get some more info because I don't want to waste anyone's time. I'm already eligible for an upgrade anyway, I have enough common sense to know what i'm doing. I'm trying to get my dad's line an upgrade ,but he says he really doesn't care and he's fine with waiting for the next Evo to come out.

If it really mattered that much to me do you really think I'd hesitate doing it LoL.

Please post if anyone receives confirmation of their upgrade status change ... I turned a couple of friends onto this new email and awaiting their responses also.

Won't hurt to try. I suspect this is mainly targeted to those who would have had an upgrade if the premier program had not changed.

Just sent my email in to see if they will give me mine back. I would have been eligible July 1st. The program they were running was for upgrades in June only. That angered me, I was 1 day off for that. But, fingers crossed for this approach.

Is it seriously that hard to read a thread before you post?
Lol jk...I already did email them though and I have heard no response yet.

just sent my email, im elgible for a 75 dollar credit july first, was on the phone with sprint for 2 hours today trying to get it straightened out but no dice, hopefully this works so i can get the 3d been waiting for this phone since i first heard about it and my hopes were crushed tonight when an account manager repeatedly said he couldnt bump me up but did offer to switch me to the higher plan to achieve gold premier status within 3 months or less and even gave me a 50 dollar credit to pay for the difference after my discounts!

I called in and they changed it. I was not due until August 1st. I can get it now though!

After reading this thread, I sent off an e-mail to the "upgrade" address this morning. Not knowing when I may, or may not, hear back from Sprint I then decided to send another e-mail to the "Sprint Cares" address. No longer than an hour passed and I received a reply from the "Sprint Cares" address just asking for my account PIN so that they could access my account and look into the upgrade. After another hour or so passed, I received an e-mail back saying that I was getting the upgrade.

So, the moral of the story is that by using the original e-mail address for customer service I was able to take care of the situation within hours instead of waiting on some kind of a response for a new address that may, or may not, yield results.

By the way, I wasn't due for my upgrade for another year.

i got an email back from sprint cares as well saying i was denied since my ugrade isnt until july 1st. im highly disappointed, so much for being a valued sprint premier customer!! HAvent recieved any word from upgraderestore however. (i sent two different emails last night, one to upgraderestore and one to a sprint reps email address, she forwarded hers to sprint cares which denied me, has anyone gotten a reply from upgraderestore at all??)

I sent an email to UpgradeRestore last night (haven't heard from them), and SprintCares just now (we'll see what happens). I'm eligible for a $75 upgrade discount right now (June), so we'll see if that makes a difference.

Damned if I want to pay $474.99 to upgrade at the one-year mark, when I used to only have to pay $199 for the same "privilege". :-$

Call and talk to them. My wife wasn't due an upgrade till April first of 2012, called them, talked to a Rep, now she got her upgrade. Fortunately she just got the evo as her rumor touch died on her and needed a phone asap.

A lot of this really depends on who you get. I called for my $70 credit and the guy told me it didnt' exist, went online and chatted with a rep that was just like: YEP, YOU'RE RIGHT. HERE YOU GO!

I actually got a call from the Sprint store manager yesterday asking me if I was still planning on coming in Friday to purchase the EVO. I told her I wasn't sure, since I would be buying it off contract for $549, minus my $75 discount since I am now a Premier Silver member. She immediately checked for me and said I was grandfathered in and would be eligible for the full upgrade price of $199! Needless to say, I told her I would be in Friday afternoon to pick up my new phone. I was very happy to say the least!
