Want to use the tiny BT keyboards? Get CyanogenMod

I bought one of those tiny ChinaVision keyboards from someone on the internet a few months ago, for $14, thinking it would work with my Evo. Nope. Not even with the BlueInput driver that came with the tiny keyboard.

And why is that? HTC chopped out the code. The only keyboards that would work with stock Evo's are the Freedom Pros, and they are ~$90.

So I rooted my Evo with Unrevoked Forever, added ROM Manager and installed CyanogenMod. Instantly, I was able to use both my tiny keyboard and my old ThinkOutside Bluetooth Keyboard, using the BlueInput driver.

Yeah, it's pretty crappy that the EVO has a crippled Bluetooth stack from HTC. It would be nice to use Full HDMI with a NES emulator and a Wii-mote on a Sense ROM.

I know it can be done on a AOSP ROM, but you can't use the Kernel with the HDMI optimizations.

I think the market version of FullHDMI, the kernel only allows the audio to route through HDMI, otherwise it works pretty well with a standard kernel, the supercharge just requires root. I am normally a Sense guy myself, but after setting up Magnus' Destroyer ROM (based off of CM7) and using Fancy Widget, the only thing i miss from sense is the email app and widget.

That's another good point. If you use an AOSP ROM, not only do you not get the framerate benefit of the HDMI kernel, but you can't output audio through HDMI, only the internal speaker.
