I unrooted my phone the other day and now it says, "The operating system on your device has been modified in an unauthorized way, etc." when I'm trying to bring the phone to current software via OTA. I'm afraid they won't accept this phone to trade in under these circumstances, what do I do?

Don't worry about it. I've always traded in my rooted phone. The most they look for is that it powers on.

Have u tried doing a hard factory reset, usually it should be back to normal.
