So my 4 month old Bionic suddenly developed a buzzing kinda tinny sound out of the ear piece when I use the phone for calls. I'm going to verizon during lunch and let them know which should result in a replacement phone being issued. Will they replace it on the spot, or mail me a replacement? I'll need some time to revert back to stock from the BLUR ROM. Is it most likely I'll get a refrub?

TIA

You will most likely get a certified like new refurbished. Not sure how they handle it at the store, I know vzw can overnight one. ...

Tapatalked from my Bionic

Same here, although it's already a refurbished phone. We'll see how the customer-service staff at the local Verizon Wireless store react.

Replying to my own post: I ended up calling 611. They had me run a test call via the Bluetooth headset and via the speakerphone; since the problem does not show up in either of those contexts, but does when using the earpiece speaker, they consider it a hardware fault and will replace the phone with another certified pre-owned device under warranty.

Yup. Same here. I went in and they did a few things before determining it can't be fixed and sent out a replacement. Should arrive tomorrow.

I always just call verizon, its so much easier, I went through 4 bionics before they said they can't send me the same phone and sent me out a nexus

i have had 7 thunderbolts, 1 charge, and on 3rd bionic all under 1 year. i told the Verizon rep that there quality department sucks!!!!!!!!!!
