Warranty repair on Battery

Has anyone sent their MXPE in for warranty repair for shortened battery life?

I've had my MXPE for almost a year and it seems like the battery does not last as long as it used to. I'm thinking of sending it in but I don't know what to expect. I read that they may just replace it with another used unit. And I can't go without a phone while they fix it. Any input?

Good question. Is this covered by the warranty and how bad must the battery be I wonder? I believe my battery has really degraded over the almost year I've had the phone from 12 hours on with 5 hours SOT to 9 plus hours on with 3 plus hours SOT.
