warranty status

Hi all, my original one plus met with an unfortunate accident . So I needed to replace it, after having 3 invites that I gave away I found myself without one. Anyway I purchased an as new international one plus second hand. My question is ..... Is there a way I can check with one plus either with my serial number or imei to check if my second hand handset is covered by there warranty and where it was originally purchased ? Try emailing oneplus. Not sure if the warranty is still good once sold.
