So, i was working in the yard one day and shoving all the branches in the lawn bags. And because im poor as hell, i have to use a really old rusty hacksaw in order to cut the thick branches. and the amount of force used to just move the hacksaw made the phone come out of my pocket. Usually when it drops, its not damaged at all. Guess what..? I pick it up and BAM! spider web cracks and fractures all over the screen. now, it was still fully functional and i decide to put see through packaging tape on the glass in order to make it still work without cutting my fingers and it worked just fine. Until last night, when I found my phone dead. I thought it just ran out of battery but when i tried to charge it, the red light didnt show up either. So i hard restarted it (for the first time ever) and it finally came back alive and charging. So my question... if i sent it in to HTC, would they fix the phone under warranty? Like the screen and maybe the system itself? I have purchased and owned the phone under a year, so time wise, its still valid.

No, a broken screen won't be covered by warranty. Warranties always exclude accidental damage. If you bought it with a credit card, it's possible your card provides some additional warranty coverage.

It's also possible that if you paid them to replace the screen, and there are other problems not related to that causing the charging issue, they'd repair that under warranty. Most likely, they'll just replace the entire phone with a refurb.
