My Nexus 4's screen became unresponsive due a crack it developed from a fall. I have been using my Nexus 4 for almost 3 years now and have a soft corner for it. I wanted to get the screen replaced and move on, but then the LG service center quoted 8000Rs(~$125) for replacing the screen. I was taken back a bit as I was not expecting the screen replacement to cost me half of what the phone was originally priced!! A few more bucks and I could have landed a brand new phone which would have been equally capable as Nexus 4.

I did fight with myself and decided to go ahead with the screen replacement. Now that it is done, my phone is back to its awesomeness. But sometimes I ask myself if I did the "sensible" thing. What do you guys feel?

Cheers!

I don't think it really matters if it was the "sensible" thing to do. What's important is that you're continuing to enjoy the phone that you know well, and that has performed well for you!:)
