Anyone else have issue with the display on 4.0.4 using up double the battery than what 4.0.2 was using? I was seriously using twice the juice. the radios worked great but the screen battery usage was atrocious.

How was the overall battery life? You will see a bigger percentage being used by the screen because they changed things so that the AndroidOS used a lot lower percentage. Also, how long did you run it? You really need to give a new kernel a couple of days to settle in before you get optium battery life.

I did notice the OS used less. I ran it for about three days and every time the screen would go on I'd see my battery widget in my notification bar count down like a '56 Chevy's gas needle goes down when you floor it. By the way this was with the display set to auto.

Setting the screen to auto is sorta of like the cruise control argument with gas mileage. If you notice, setting cruise control to a certain speed, i.e. 60mph, means the engine is always going to work to get to that speed, thus draining more gas than if you did the same thing manually (because you could coast, throttle-brake, etc.). For me, I keep my screen at 40-50%, and in my experience the battery drain is less than auto b/c it's not always changing or "sensing." It might be a placebo effect, but regardless, it's a placebo I support :D.
