Watch does not stay charged!!

I bought my wife a Samsung gear S2 for christmas. She didn't start really using it till middle of January, the watch dies after 5 hours off charger, will not track her distance past 3-31/2 miles, she runs marathons. I've tried factory reset. Does anyone one have any other help before I take this watch back to Verizon? I dread having to deal with them.

Charge it for 24 hours and see if that improves it. If not, have it replaced.

Watch was charged for 72 hours last week before she went to run.
Battery lasted 4 hours

First, you posted in the wrong subforum. This is for original Gear S, not S2.
The battery life depends on the usage pattern. For example, if she is using it to track her long distance run for hours without a phone, the GPS will drain the battery quickly. 4 hours of constant GPS usage is about all you can expect from any smart watches.

4 hours of constant GPS and cpu usage of tracking is pretty good for such a small battery. If she was using the built in music player as well I'd call that phenomenal. I kill mine in about 2 and a half hours when I use GPS,s health and the onboard music player .
