watch face question...

Hoping someone can help! I just bought a Gear S and so far I love it. Here's my question, I've installed some purchased watch faces but every time I flick my wrist the simple digital watch comes on instead of the face I installed. If I touch the screen the watch face pops up fine. It doesnt do this with the pre-installed Samsung faces. Is there a setting that I need to change? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Go to settings then display. Select wake-up screen and select last screen. Just remember whatever screen it was on before going to sleep will show up so make sure you're always on the watch face

I've picked up the Curlball watch face that looks like an iPhone face and have noticed the same.

The answer is this. Each of the included watch faces have the capacity to show the time when the main watch face is off. You go to settings, style, clocks, and then always on. Each always on watch face is different and particular to the main watch face you use. The faces you buy, have the same feature to some capacity but some have it on always, some only when you look at the watch.
