If you are on a limited data package, watch closely your data totals.

I check daily and this morning the total that Verizon is showing is nearly a GB more than what all my phones have used altogether. Naturally the Verizon system is updating right now so no one can check the situation for me, but I looked at the individual uses and saw nothing out of the ordinary.

For someone who does not check daily, there could be a glitch (indented or unintended) and suddenly he or she is nailed with a $15 overage per GB fee.

So ... WATCH YOUR USAGE DAILY!!

I have noticed that the widget no longer updates on its own, you have to click on it to open the app, then it will update. I had heard that was coming.

I have also noticed the data seems to jump quite a bit seeing as I am on 3g all the time now because 4g refuses to work anymore.

I hate Verizon, but I really have no other choice right now. But I am exploring other options, arming myself for what's to come....

Ok ... I just got off the phone with Verizon. I had to demand to speak to a supervisor because the first rep told me that the system had not updated since the 16th and she wanted to just send me off on my merry way. Really, I said?? I saw data up til this morning on my end.

A supervisor got on and he really could not determine why there was a 3/4 gb difference in calculating the four phones and what Verizon's total was showing. The only thing I was able to think of was when the new plan went into effect, about 3/4 of a gb was showing from the month before on one of the phones. I called and that was supposed to be cleared, but maybe the system threw it back in there.

Long story short, I will be credited a gb if I go over this month.

I watch my data usage closely even though all my phones are unlimited. And the last couple months I have been seeing a big change and fluctuation in my usage. Last month I was at about 2 gig in my first week of the cycle and the next day I was at 40 gb. I ended the month at 46 gb. 38 gb in one day. This month I only used 7 gb. I haven't changed my activity for months and I always use over 10 gb. So it seems strange altogether.
And I too have to open app to refresh the data widget.

I have seemed to reach my 4GB faster than usual as well.. Smh.. Well, I'm at 3.76 at the moment and my cycle ends on the 23rd.

I am so glad that I have unlimited data. With that said, Verizon is pretty good about crediting you for overages, within reason of course, or changing your plan and predating it for you.

Mine won't even reflect proper usage by clicking on it to refresh it. Says I used 20MB of data for 2 days now and I downloaded a 120MB file over 4G this am and the widget and the page that opens up when you click on the widget both say only 20MB of usage. :'( Also, having to click on it to refresh it is really anoying especially since I was used to it updating itself every 10 or so minutes in the past automatically.

I know its not a phone but my 4g air card is doing the same. I averaged 3-5g per month on my 3g card. Then I upgraded to a 4g air card and now I have been 7-8g over the last two months. The computer does what it always does and that is lite browsing and email. No YouTube or videos and the data usage is up 80%.
