Watch Woes (Galaxy Note 9 Phone)

I don't know what's happened. Maybe the latest Note 9 update?? No features/commands are syncing with my watch. No hourly chime either. Watch isn't ringing when my phone rings. No text messages or other notifications. All these features are enabled on the watch. Also enabled is tapping the watch face to turn it on but that's not working either (I didn't even know that was a thing). The watch won't light up when I turn my arm towards me. It hasn't been dropped or dunked in water. I've restarted it. I can tap on the messages icon and see text messages but I'm not getting anything in real time. Same for phone calls. Worked fine the last time I wore it about a week ago. Has been on the charger ever since. Help! :(
 
Maybe you should backup the watch information within the Galaxy Gear app then do a factory restore on the watch. You'll have to re-pair to your phone & sync your information back to the watch. I'm surprised you had so many problems after the update. Good luck.
 
(sigh) I was really hoping it wouldn't come to that. I don't know if it was the latest Note 9 update, I was just speculating but I can't imagine what else could have happened while it was on the charger. Thanks for your input.
 
I had a few issues after the update, so I reset it and it's been fine.

WHERE ARE ALL MY WATCH FACES??? I did a backup/reset/sync back to watch. I had at least 30 watch faces (mostly paid and some free). Now I have 5 that were downloaded (paid and free). Some features that were broke after the Note 9 update and back but if there is no way to find and retrieve my watch faces (that coordinate with my wardrobe) I'm going to be super upset! I'm looking on my phone and watch and don't see how to re-download them. Hoping someone has some good news :o
Edit...FOUND THEM :) Sorry, just panicked and sent out a SOS before I Googled it (whew!)

I've got Verizon in the Northeastern US w/Note 8, 46mm Galaxy Watch, and 2018 iconX earbuds. Any issues I've run into have been resolved by updates... Some of which were not obvious until I looked for them. Recent watch update I had to go find... Same happens with some of the Samsung apps... Go to Galaxy Wear app, switch to Watch/about/system updates I think it's called... The watch (and some app updates found through the Galaxy store app under watch then filter by "installed" (then repeat same under phone)...

Didn't notice many issues (but some) for the watch after upgrading the phone to Pie... Samsung appeared to have numerous phone and watch app updates after that...

I did end up being somewhat pissed off to see the only stock market app and widget for the watch seems to be broken now... Anybody see any alternative for that app that can give you a list of current stock prices on one screen of the watch at the same time?
