I keep seeing commercials on ESPN saying now there is an APP where we can watch all of ESPN's shows and channels live on our phones, and I even see a Verizon Logo at the bottom.

But I can't seem to find this APP anywhere (on ESPN site or Marketplace).

Does anyone have this app on their phone or is it not for the Thunderbolt?

Thanks PaulMike..

I did google, but was hoping someone found a link that I didn't come across.

Google also says the Android app is coming.

The press release said that it would be available to other smartphones in the future. I read what he wrote as "is it available to us now?" so that is how I answered. But you're right, I'm sure we will have it soon enough. Just have to hope you use one of the cable providers it is associated with.

Here's a link, with the press release too.

You would think that since Android now has a larger market share of new smartphones then iPhone that ESPN would rush this development to make the service a better advertising sales vehicle for them. Of course the target may be Pad users and while all of the prognostications are that the Android pads will quickly gain major market share that may be a year or so away.

I also wonder about the demographics. The people I know that have iPhones spend a lot of time at nail salons and texting each other while at Starbucks or are kids that keep iTunes in business. Anecdotal but might not be your typical ESPN fanatic (like me).

I just downloaded the app and watched 3 innings of college baseball with no lag on 4G. It works great.

Very limited access for now. I can get ESPN3 due to Verizon. But my cable company isn't listed as a supporter so the rest of the ESPN channels are a no-go.

Worked great over 4G for me. I'm with Time Warner.

Note: If the picture looks a little grainy at first, give it a few seconds and the clarity will improve greatly. From the looks of it, I would guess that it starts out assuming you're on 3G and then when it detects the higher bandwidth over 4G (and maybe wifi too - didn't test that), the resolution is upgraded to a very sharp picture.

I can't log in, it just keeps saying "invalid username or password" for the final sign in to ESPN. I went through all the other stuff to confirm my carrier online. Odd thing is after I type in my member name and password, when the app refreshed to say my member name and password were wrong it shows my email address where I typed my member name in. I can log in to the site just fine too so I know what I'm typing is correct.

Worked well on my EVO (TWC).

It took me a while to log-in after creating my ESPN account. I had to clear cache in the app.

I had the same issue and found it awkward and a bit unclear. I cleared cache and data which started me over from the beginning. It let me log in finally (I think there is a lag between signup and the mobile side finding you) but i still had to go to espnnetworks.com/setup to finish up and be fully authorized (to get beyond the initial 4 hr sample).

I ended up deleting the app, and downloading again. I was able to log in then.

This thread is a little old, but I thought my question should go here instead of starting a new one. I have Time Warner in the KC area, but the watchespn app won't let me watch; instead it just keeps telling me to re-check my access. I've been verified online and redirected to my device, but still can't get access (uninstall and clearing cache did nothing). Is anyone else having this problem or has anyone found a workaround for the minimal number of providers participating?

Are you sure your carrier out there is signed up with this. They may carry espn but not signed on to the app part of the channel
