FYI,
Noticed on the WaveSecure site they're sending international texts again:
IMPORTANT: To improve reliability, we have switched back to our SMS gateway in Singapore. Depending on your carrier/operator, you may be charged for receiving international text messages when executing remote instructions.

Sure enough when I checked my VZW online account I see I've got one international text.

I suppose this isn't a HUGE issue if you actually have your phone lost or stolen, although I'm not exactly sure what Verizon's rates are on international text. (I do a lot of texting to Canada, but Verizon considers that domestic).

True but they also have an option to backup your phone. The cost could add up with that.

That said there are three other similar programs I know that might be better alternatives:
LookOut, Mobile Defense and SmrtGuard.
