We have Metro & both have LG phones.

[Android Central Question]

We recently changed phones and plans never had a problem like this before. He can call me but I cannot call him it goes right to voicemail. I deleted Name ID, I checked for numbers that were blocked on his phone & mine I called my number with his phone there was no big M when I hung up right away. I cannot figure it out. I can text him he does get that. When I call him it doesn't even ring just goes right to voicemail.

Welcome to Android Central! My suggestion would be to bring your phones back to Metro/the store where you purchased them. Or you could contact your provider to see why his number is not reachable for you.

Welcome to Android Central! On his phone, open Contacts, then select your contact, and tap the Menu button at the upper right. Look for a Route to Voicemail option, and make sure that's not turned on.
