We may really see a hugely debloated TouchWiz!!

I would like to see a new model Samsung Galaxy S with the Nexus brand and Stock Android. Completely Carrier Unlocked, Boot-loader Unlocked, and Rooted. Samsung make some good hardware. In the above article it is said "Facebook and WhatsApp are used by everyone, so we can’t call it bloatware." That statement is so false, I know lost of people that do not use either one those apps. I have never used Facebook or WhatsApp, and never intend to. It will be interesting to see 2015 line of new handsets this year.

Just buy a Nexus if you want stock Android. Stock Android is boring as hell, no thanks.

As you can see in my signature tag I already have a Nexus. I was Saying that Samsung make good hardware just need it without the bloat-ware.

You can have TouchWiz, it's laggy as Hell.

I might stick with Samsung if this is true. I'm tired of the TouchWiz launcher lagging on my S5 and how it constantly fights Material Design for color schemes, animations, and icons. I'm just not sure if I trust Samsung with future updates since my S5 won't last more than 8 hours on a charge.

You're doing something wrong then so I blame you. I get a full day with around 3 1/2 hrs on screen time. And most days I still have 20% left at the end of the nite....

Exclusive: Only two Samsung apps will come preloaded on the Galaxy S6 - SamMobile

Wow that is freakn amazing if true!!!! This also makes me very excited "...the software will be leaner and faster, along with many more animations from Google’s latest design guidelines. Samsung has also updated the design of all the essential apps like music player, video player, and gallery to better suit Android 5.0 Lollipop."

That's cool but to me the samsung apps were never really the problem, it was the carrier preloaded stuff. I can deal with Samsung's apps, I can't deal with things like password keeper ten thousand! and YP MOBILE! and other apps that are in all caps with exclamations that I can't get rid of.

Carrier bloats should be easier to disable than samsung ones. I turned off most of at&t bloats on my S5.

I've gotta be honest. I don't see TouchWiz on my Samsung phones performing any worse than on this LG phone and they're setup almost the same, with Nova Launcher. The Samsung phones have Kit Kat and this one has Lollipop. The all perform very very very well. I never understand all the disdain for TouchWiz that I read in these forums.

G3 📱🍭

Disabling is okay but I'd rather have the option to uninstall completely. Like even if they still installed a ton of crap I didn't want, at least give people the option to uninstall it. Hate that the only way to get rid of is to root and void warranty. That's so sad.

If you root the phone you can uninstall anything you like.

G3 ????????????

Shouldn't have to root to get rid of unwanted crap from something I own. That's one thing I love about my iPhone and Nexus devices. No unwanted carrier BS on my device without having to void my warranty.

Looks like the Wiz is the same.... yeah there is text instead of icons on some menus, but the overall look is the same.

Just wish, outside of Xposed modules, there was a way of blacking out all the core Apps and settings menus. Not a huge deal.

Maybe someone will find a way around VZW for this phone.

I'm not bothered by some of their apps, but I hope I can uninstall the Facebook app. If I can't and a method to root the phone becomes available, I'll root just to get rid of that.

Facebook is horrible. They have an update just about everyday.

I've done all of the same steps that apply to my S3, and TouchWiz is still Touchwiz. It will always be TouchWiz, no matter how much Samsung says they've improved it. In fact, I feel that they will try to "improve" it to the point where TouchWiz will actually be Tizen in the future. That will be their way to sneakily bring it to markets.
