Weak Verizon 4G signal

After being reassured by the Verizon Rep (company owned store) I purchases a Galaxy 10.1 tab with a 4G data plan. While the Verizon map shows my rural street has a strong 4G signal that just isn't the case, in fact it is very weak. Verizon hasn't been much help. Any suggestions without buying an expensive antenna and signal booster?
 
You have two options 1. return your tab because your not getting the service you were told you would have or 2. wait for Verizon to expand their 4G service.

I live in an area that should have 4G service for the last 2 months and it's still not here, if I drive 15 minutes south I can it up just not at home.
