Weather/time location wrong HTC one M9

So my weather and time app (the pre-installed one) shows my location for time as Liangshan China. But i live in Auckland. I have looked through the location part of settings, turned on high accuracy. didnt work. I restarted the wifi, no luck. Restarted phone, no luck. My google maps shows my correct location with GPS but this didnt trick the app into working properly.
This all started after the last android update last week.
Apart from switching off my location and entering the local time manually i cant seem to find an answer on various threads thats work for me.
Anyone had the same problem or got a solution.
(standard sorry if there is a easy answer on the site that ive missed)

Welcome to Android Central! Do you know if the phone was intended for the Australian market, or perhaps for the Chinese market? If the latter, I wonder if it's related to the Chinese ROM. In the bad ol' days, I received a totally terrible direct-from-China tablet as a gift, and Google Maps would always think I was somewhere in Shenzhen.
