Web scrolling has been EXCRUCIATINGLY slow since the new system update. Is this going to be fixed? It is absolutely unbearable.

No, it's not the reception. During loading, after loading, it doesn't matter. Scrolling on webpages is brutally slow and not even remotely as nimble as it originally was. I can't take it. The reception is fine, the process of scrolling has been gutted to a snail's pace.

Can someone, for the love of all that is holy, please restore the original settings, or at least allow users the option of reverting back to it?

Are you using the stock browser? If you are using Dolphin for example, you may want to try an uninstall/reinstall to see if it clears up the issue. Had to do this for swype. Just throwing it out there as a possible solution.

I noticed the same thing with the stock browser. Very disconcerting seeing as I check my fantasy baseball and other websites constantly throughout the day.

In the stock browser, you can always try setting the Add-Ons to "On demand". It may be some Flash Ads or something Flash related in the webpage causing the slow down.

Mine was really slow at first. So was the keyboard response at first. Seemed to pick back up now tho.

How do you do this? I didn't see any options for Add-Ons in Settings.

Also, are we really going to have to turn off Flash in order to be able to browse freely?

Mine is working fine. I believe that people who did a factory reset before or after the update are problems free with froyo. At least is my case.

Sorry, it wasn't "add-ons" it was "enable Plugins". When you go to that, there is an option for always or on demand.

I'm not having those issues with scrolling or being slow, but I am having an issue with exiting the browser, killing everything with ATK and later when I open the browser again, it is on the same page I was on before. Very annoying.

I did a factory reset afterwards and my browser does the same thing. So annoying!!! I just put the Enable Plugins to "on demand" and it seemed to help out alot. It still isn't as fast as the 2.1 browser.

Yep, same here man, Im getting the same slow bullcrap. Pretty sad really.

This was a terrible update.

My music player now doesn't recognize like twelve artists, all of which it had recognized before, and it keeps crashing.

Plus I have to disable plugins in order to scroll freely in my web browser.

Scratch that. It still scrolls slowly, plus the text display is all screwed up. Right now, as I type this, I can't see anything. This update is bugged to all hell.

I did a reset and it seemed to help a little. It's still not as good as it was. Also my rotating is slow and most of the time it's in landscape when it turn it on even though I'm holding it in the upright position. Not cool....

From the browser do: Menu -> More -> Settings -> Enable Plugings and set to On-Demand.

The above setting doesn't disable flash it merely loads the webpages by replacing the Flash Windows with a green arrow. That way you can "on demand" decide if you want to load the flash or not. There are many websites that are loaded with a lot of individual Flash windows. In many cases, most of those are ads for which you shouldn't care so this is a decent solution since it will load pages fast and once loaded you can decided if you want to load the flash or not.
