Anyone else finding some strange similarities between Google & webOS today? Wouldn't ditch my Nexus, but sure does bring back memories of the Pre!

First I noticed the wireless charging...now 3 different sizes vs now in S, M, L?

I noticed the similarities - especially in the wireless charging station for the Nexus 4 and the "daydream" mode of 4.2.

I was a big fan of webOS, so this is perfectly fine with me... The Nexus 4 is very likely to pull me away from iOS and Verizon.

It really makes me miss webOS. I'm glad Android is FINALLY adopting wireless charging. I loved not having to plug my phone in for the 2 years my webOS phone(s) worked for me. If we could just get some cards going here... ;)

I still get verklepmt over how poor WebOS got the shaft due to poor hardware. I was a launch day Palm Pre user and the day I left it for the OG EVO 4G a year later must've been how Tina felt when she finally left Ike. The ability to open a link in an email without getting the dreaded "too many open cards" message when there was just ONE card open (sometimes I got it with ZERO cards open!) and not have to wait over three minutes for the phone to boot made me realize just how gimped the OG Pre was. I picked up a fire sale TouchPad, but never use it because I first won a Transformer, then bought a Kindle Fire, then a Nexus 7 and I prefer 7" tablets. I'm thinking of slapping Android on it so it can be useful for something. So sad.

At least Google had the sense to snap up Matias Duarte and the fact that Apple is copying Android now is largely due to this pickup. Of course, only unskinned Android will truly benefit from Duarte's touch, so that's why I'm moving to a Nexus 4.

Yep I have noticed this also and I could not be happier! WebOS was way ahead of it's time and I think it was essentially an amazing OS gimped by inferior hardware. If only Palm could have stuck it out a few more years I think they could have been a legitimate rival to Android and Apple. Still now that Android is starting to get more of that WebOS feel I definitely can't complain.
