Anyone been using the stock S24 ?

I'm looking for a smaller phone for the first time in maybe 10 years.

I have owned every note and ultra phone so far. Along with a lot of others.

I have gorilla hands. But due to youthful exuberance, both have been broken in the past. Both have had rotated metacarpal breaks of the ring finger. How I'm old , they both hurt more. And handling a brick isn't helping.

How's everyone's small phone experience? Anyone tried the alternatives to the Samsung? Xiaomi 14 etc.
My main concern with the S24 is Exynos/ less ram / tiny battery and , to an extent, cameras.

Might wait for the slew of early 8G4's - Xiaomi 15 etc .

Cheers

I'm in the US. I just purchased the S24 but the Snapdragon version and with 256gb for $425. I still have the S24 Ultra, but I watched some videos about the battery life giving 6+ hours of screen time.

I'm on day 3, and I'm quite impressed. This is my battery life. This is a full day of being at work and being on this phone.

I prefer small phones and this one is showing to be a keeper.

BTW I'm 6'2" and 250lb. I have larger than normal hands.Screenshot_20240623_233431_Device care.jpg

Honestly I have large hands also and have to help my father with his s23 he also has large hands. To be totally honest it's one of the biggest pains in the behind to use a "tiny" phone from hitting the worn letters on the keyboard to accidental touches when holding the phone etc. It (imo) not a good fit for the person with larger hands

Seems Google might be releasing the 9 early. Along with rumours of a non XL pro variant. ( The ONE thing Apple gets right IMO ).

Wasn't considering another tensor pixel ( had the 6P and 7P along with all the previous ones ) but think I might order one to see how it feels in the hand.

Not too fussed about tensors lack of raw horse power, but it's modem and efficiency are inexcusable for the price. As is the pixel mantra " maybe the next one will be better "

*giggle* *giggle*

I still recommend the S24+.

P.S. I have a wee bit of Scottish in me. My grandmother was a Bruce.
.

My wife regularly has a wee bit Scotsman in her, but that's a different story.

Think I will wait for the S25+ , maybe getting the non XL pixel 9 pro to try in the meantime if the rumours of it's existence and early release are true .

Coming from a six year old 5.9" Galaxy S7A — to the 6.2" S23+ was very comfortable. While the additional ¼" of length was slightly, initially noticable, it became basically unnoticeable and super comfortable in no time. (y)

I think with my fecked hands it's more about weight than actual size.
I had a play in store with a Sony 1V last weekend. ( 185g or so )Was very very comfortable.
But dull as dishwater. I don't normally look too much at prices, but Christ , the 1vi is not worth £1300.

Hmmm. Interesting, and agreed. ;-)
Weight wise, the S24+ is only 9 grams (or 0.3 ounces) heavier than the Sony 1V, which I would think would not be noticeable.

. . and, the Sony 1V is [ 1/4" ] longer than the S24+ , if those dimensions are right  , though the display specs show it to be 0.2" shorter, diagonally.
