A couple of sweet drinks. Taken with a Moto X (2014).

We're coming up on Valentine's Day weekend, and that means we're all likely to see a bit more sweetness in our lives. There will be candy, and maybe time spent with a significant other or family members — and we want you to use this opportunity to capture a picture that meets what you would call "sweet." It shouldn't be too tough, and we're looking forward to seeing what entries you can come up with.

We're going to be picking out two winners this week, and each will receive an Android Central swag package!

Entering is easy. Just drop your entry in a post below. Tell us what Android you used to get the picture, and any back story you want to add to it. We'll pick a winner Tuesday (February 17) night at 11:59 PM ET, and announce them on the blog with next Wednesday's contest.

  • Pictures must be taken with an Android device
  • Pictures must be uploaded to the contest thread. I'm not running all over the Internet to track them down.
  • You have to tell us what device you used to take the picture, and any special software you might have used. Editing your pictures is fine — this is art.
  • Feel free to add a little back story — we want to know how the picture came to be.
  • You must have used a valid email address to register here at AC, so I know how to contact the winner.
  • Only one entry per week per person.

Good luck, everyone!

Widdershins Cinnamon Roll and Right Handed Fork Conundrum.jpg

My wife made these cinnamon rolls for me. Darn, they were good. But, just because I'm such a great guy, I thought I'd start a conversation on Facebook about the winding direction of cinnamon rolls. This picture was my vis-aid. As you can see, a counter-clockwise (widdershins) coil is counter-productive in the efficient consumption of cinnamon rolls. As you cut off a piece of the coil, you have to reverse a standard right-handed fork to grab the piece and eat it. With a clockwise coil, no such problem exists. With a mere flick of the wrist, you can scoop up the tidbit and eat away. Nom nom nom.

Oh, this was taken with my Nexus 5 under HDR+ mode without editing.

This is the cake of my engagement party. I think I used the application after focus for editing (or maybe google camera, can't really remember now). It's a very simple snap, though.
