Weird/Awesome Verizon call

I called Verizon today after I got my new Rezoundtoday in the mail. Loving it by the way. I called Verizon to setup the mobile hotspot, and the woman gave me unlimited mobile hotspot for $30 and unlimited data on my phone for the $30 as well. I didn't believe her, but after I got off the phone, I checked my account and there it was, unlimited data. Was there a promotion I didn't know about?

I got unlimited data on my phone for 30 and unlimited mobile hotspot for another 30. Before then, my two phones had 2 GB caps.

I am wondering if there is a promotion going on cause I have seen quit a few ppl get this deal!!
Thankfully I got my unlimited plan a couple years ago and got my hubby his just before they changed it!

It's a glitch. You can take off the hotspot and still have unlimited. There's already a thread on these forums.

So, are you paying $30 total for the unlimited phone hotspot use and unlimited phone data? Or are you paying $60 total? Do you happen to have the offer code? Is there a way to set this up and then drop the hotspot option and keep the unlimited data?

I.....must....acquire.....unlimited.....data. I am paying $30 for 4 GB now.

I'm paying a total of $60 for data on the phone and the hotspot. I didn't ask for the deal the rep just offered it to me. And of course I was going to take it. I thought it was a mistake. I asked her to verify it with her supervisor. She did and I got the deal.

This is always so frustrating....lol. just spoke with a Rep who said that this situation was impossible, and that he wanted to talk to this "friend" and verify this unlimited situation....lol. I may call back in a few and try a different attack.

With my current BB, I pay $29.99 for unlimited data and another $20 for 2GB in the process of tethering my phone to my laptop. What is supposed to happen with the latter when, instead of tethering, my incoming Android is used as a mobile hotspot for the laptop?

I had unlimited data on my blackberry and $20/mo 5G tethering.

When I bought my Rezound, I kept the unlimited data, and the CS lady on the phone told me I could upgrade to unlimited mobile hotspot for $10 more. I happily upgraded, and the 3G network through my phone is faster than my cable internet directly wired into my laptop. I can't wait to see what 4G speeds are like when they hit my area "sometime in 2012".

Just called and confirmed. Added the hotspot feature and customer service verified I now have unlimited data for the hotspot and phone. Woohoo!

Just got off the phone with Verizon also. Added unlimited hotspot to my Rezound that will be here this afternoon. I get 20% off through work, so it comes to 24.00/month. So in short unlimited data and hotspot for 50.00 month. Not bad.

Does the Rezound get the 4G signal any better than the TBolt? While in a 4G area, our house is in a data deadspot. Walk outside, and no problem. Wont be an issue when we move in a few months though.

The Rezound gets a great 4G signal in my house. Getting around 15 mbps down consistently. And it's unlimited. I couldn't be happier.
