Weird charge flickering

I have the nexus 6p and I'm using the default charger that came in the box.
I'm having a weird issue with charging where the charging will keep turning on and off. It turns on and off fairly quickly (a few a second) and just keeps the screen on because of this. Like I said earlier I am using the default charger. I tried to wiggle the points of connection to see if the contacts were just bent and didn't touch but i couldn't change anything. I couldn't get it to stay charging and I couldn't get it to stop fluctuating.
Luckily I did have the extra type A connector and tried that with another charging plug. That did give me a steady charge.

Is there anything else I should try? Is my charger just broken? Is there a possibility I could try to fix it?

Hi

No option to fix it. I recommend don't try, due to shock hazard! Return it to carrier, or purchase another, IMHO.

Welcome to Android Central! It might also just be a problem with the USB-C cable that came with the phone, not the charging block. Can you try another USB-C cable?

But I agree with H3aTeRzz--Google or Huawei ought to replace the cable if it's defective.
