Weird fast charging issue.

Hello all, I've had my Galaxy S6 Edge Plus since day one and other than the freezing issue I've had no problems.

The last couple of days however my phone will not "fast charge" whilst the cable is inserted directly in, only "normal charge". If I use my dad's lead from his S6 Edge Plus it works fine. I thought it was my lead however when I plug it into my Samsung Wireless Charger and place my phone on top, my phone WILL "fast charge"?

I'm at a loss as to what's wrong.

Any ideas?

Corrupted USB cord maybe

Any ideas for a replacement USB cord which is longer than the official one that Samsung supply? If I'm going to replace the cord, I may as well purchase a longer one whilst in at it. Doesn't really matter if it's official or not, as long as it chargers just as fast.

I checked amazon... Couldnt find the fast charge cord by itself. It only sells with the AC adapter

Out of interest have you used the Samsung charging cable for anything else (such as another phone.device)?

Nope, nothing. I just noticed a few days ago that it was taking forever to charge and noticed that it had reverted to "normal charging". I don't regularly use the wireless charging pad as the fan and blue light (even though they are very slight) keep me awake.

It's just strange that the lead and plug will fast charge through the wireless pad but not directly with the phone.

Its the cable, replacing it with a new one from amazon fixed it.
