Weird Gallery Issue

Last week I added a bunch of full albums to my Droid X. Today when I was in my Gallery I noticed my Gallery had 1233 pictures so I started looking at it. I noticed they are all album covers to my music. Not only did they make 1 copy but there appears to be around 44 copies of the same image! Why in the hell would the Droid X do this? I never had these issues with music on my iPhone 4 nor did I ever see of the album artwork in my pictures folders.

Is there a way to prevent this or hide them? I don't need to 1233 images when I'm looking for my camera pictures.

you using the stock music app? you could connect as mass storage to your computer and get rid of them that way.

I did that before I posted and they all got re-added instantly upon removal.

That is odd and annoying. How did you get the music on your phone? Did you use itunes or just drag the whole album over to your SD card?

There must be a folder for the album artwork that it can to into vs into the gallery.

I copied the album to the SDCard in USB mode.
