weird glitch?

I am using a 32gb Verizon note 5. it doesn't happen everytime but it's enough to be annoying. sometimes when I open an app for example android central app. it will open one of the stories on the feed as soon as I open it. it's been happening with Gmail also. it opens an old email that I haven't clicked on in weeks. anyone else experience this type of glitch? tried searching but couldn't find anything on this

Just to be sure--these apps weren't opened to those particular pages when you last used them, right?
