Okay I'm the crazy guy that buys every new phone that comes out at full price not to lose my grandfathered unlimited plan, I went from The Razr to the Razr Maxx loved them worked perfect couldn't wait for the Razr HD to come out so I bought Razr M loved that phone and the size. Okay here is the weird issue, when I get home around 10pm or so I don't receive any text at all, so I turn on airplane mode then turn it off and all my text come thru, good for a few minutes then nothing. Airplane mode again then off then all my messages. Bought the Razr HD Maxx because i thought maybe it was the M so got it home and exactly the same problem. Tried to turn the wifi off no difference, I just don't have a clue...any ideas? Other than that Absolutely love the phone!

If you never opened smart actions I don't believe it could actually do anything so it is highly possible that it could be a third party app causing your issue.
Thanks guys, pretty much all the same apps from my original droids, nothing new I can think of. Haven't used any smart actions. Maybe I'll delete all the apps and add 1 a day till it acts up again? So weird. At work and it is perfect, maybe something weird around my house. Oh well thank you everyone!
Here is the weird thing, text messages should come through no matter what unless your phone has 0 service what so ever or your phone has airplane mode on. That's the part that's bothering me. So your phone works perfectly fine at work, but when you get home the phone acts as if you have 0 service?
I have 5 bars right now. phone calls come in, here is another weird thing, I turn my phone off when I go to bed, when I wake up I can text all morning no problem..only at night I have this issue. already did the airplane mode 3 times since i been home. So weird...
That is even stranger. It honestly sounds like smart actions or something of that nature is actually causing your phone to have an issue at night. What time of night does this start to happen?
I get home around 9ish and generally phone traffic slows down then I'll do the airplane mode thing and ding ding ding..messages start popping up and be good for like 5-10 min then stops again. Airplane mode again..messages again. checked smart actions and turned everything off. Still no change. Was hoping that the update would have done something but no. weird right?
Have you opened SmartActions to see if Sleep or other rule is active? My phone goes offline at 10:00 PM because I activated the Sleep rule.
If it could be smart settings try going into manage apps and disable it. Don't even look at the icon after you disable it and see if that changes anything.
If not, call the wonderful verizon customer service!
It does sound like either smart actions has a wild hair going nuts or possible a data, even mobile data, could be restricting you. No parental features accidentally set up either right?

Well again I went through smart actions and turned everything off. I'll check again and also I had the exact same issue with the Razr M.
