Hi guys im hoping someone can help me with this.

I bought my s3 i9300 in the uk unlocked.
Recently went on holiday to pakistan and when i put in a 'ufone' sim there it wouldnt work. Took it to a mobile shop and he rooted it and put some app on it after that it started working.
He said its locked and even though it can take any sim in the UK it has a coubtry lock so it can only work unlocked in the UK.

Does anyone know if this is true or wat?

If what he said is true, and you purchased it from T-Mo, I'd be raising a ruckus. Unlocked means unlocked, and it should work with a ufone sim or an AT&T sim. You shouldn't have to root the device to be able to use another network. No idea what happened, but something isn't right there.
