Weird software problems when changing time zones

I have some weird software issues going on and I would like to see if others have similar experiences. When I fly to a different time zone and re-connect to the Sprint network, I have two different programs that do not always work correctly. SBSH's PhoneWeaver will not authenticate - it apparently does not recognize my IMEI and when I try to enter it, PW will not accept it. I have been talking to SBSH but they are somewhat stumped too. PW will not typically work again until I fly back home and reinstall. I also notice that Touchdown no longer works after landing and I have to reinstall the registration key and reboot - sometimes twice before it will work.

Has anyone else seen anything like this with these or any other programs? I am running a stock EVO (but without the latest bloatware update).
