Weird Verizon Ads When Playing Words With Friends

My wife has the Note 2 and, all of a sudden, when she plays WWF, there's a loud verbal ad pushing Verizon services that seems to piggy back on the WWF app. There's no indication of this audible process in the notification menu when it's happening and, so far, the only thing we can do is to let it complete. Even if you close down WWF while this verbal ad is going, it continues until it ends. The whole thing is very weird.

Anyone else experience this and, if so, do you know of a fix?

I have the same problem. Audio ads play in the background of the game and continue even if you leave the game. It's VERY frustrating. The only thing I have found to do is turn the media volume off while playing my turns and then closing the app down when finished. Hopefully it's just a glitch that the developer is aware of and fixes SOON! I gave the game a one star rating and advised of the problem in the comment box... if you and enough others do the same hopefully the developer will get the message and address the problem.

Yes, I was assaulted by these ads as well. Ahh, I'll start my day in bed playing a turn of WWF.... blarghsahtahahtf! Fwiw, I haven't had the ads play today. Perhaps they've eliminated this. I have a VZ SGS4, there's another thread in the SGS3 forum as well.

I had my phone on mute when I was playing words while sitting in my doctors office yesterday. All of a sudden the Verizon ad blasted thru. Embarrassing to say the least.
