Weird Wear Pattern

So I was using my N1 today, when I noticed some weird wear patterns on the corners on the bottom. It looked like the metallicy 'paint' on the corners had begun to wear off and leave the bare plastic underneath. I think it was the seams inside the OEM pouch that came with it, since that's the only thing its been in consistently since I got it. Anyone else notice this?

Its hard to get good pics of it, but here they are. Those dark spots are where its worn away.

Hmm odd.. I'd stop using the pouch.

I am. I just didn't have a real case until today and I didn't want to have it without something.
