Went to an s6 edge+ from note 5....... question

I swapped out my note 5 for a sexy gold s6 edge plus seeing how I never use the s pen. I'm not sure if it's just me but it looks like the screen on the edge+ seems like it isn't as bright as the note. Can that be possible? Do I have a dud? Any input would be appreciated.

Both are on 100% no auto

Set the screen brightness to 50%, with auto and set the display mode to basic and revel in the fact you are staring at almost a perfectly calibrated screen.

That's dark as can be. I don't know why my screen doesn't seem as bright as my note was

Than you can crank it up. What appears to be vibrant and bright is incredibly inaccurate. This is what most people want so just go ahead and crank it on dynamic. Bit of you are off basic than you have your proverbial bass and treble controls juiced.
