Went to the Note II, back to the S3

Took a walk on the wild side when the Note II came out and added a line to pick up this beast. It really is a great phone but just switched back to the S3 cause I couldn't get 100% on board with its size. I was about 80% there though! The S-pen is great and fun but I just wasn't using it. Maybe I didn't give it enough time to train my brain but the pen never left my phone.

As for the size, I actually adapted to it pretty fast. My S3 feels so small now...haha I quickly got comfortable making calls with it and didn't get many looks from people around me. I think it's not as big a deal as when the Note first came out. Obviously, having the bigger screen was very nice and typing on the keyboard is definitely a plus given the size. Battery life is insane on it.

I had planned to sell my S3 and then use that to pay ETF for the added line. Lucky for me, I bought the Note II during Verizon's holiday window that extends the 14 day return period. Yay!

Just thought I'd give my two cents about both devices. There's a market for each one. In the end, I just prefer the S3 more.

It is about the right device for "you," no matter what. I had the sgs3, and now my daughter loves it. No way am I going back.....but again, I am sticking with what works for "me." This phone is better than that phone can be funny, but that aside, it is ridiculous to have to justify ones purchase. Just get what works for ya lol ;-)

One of my bosses has one of these and he put a case on it so it's even bigger w/the case. I'm just flabbergasted every time I see him use it. I was going to get one myself and I'd love the screen real estate but handling it I don't think would work well for me. For now I'm sticking with my S3.

How was the screen on the note 2? Is the lower pixel density really noticeable compared to the gs3?

At first, I did notice the lower pixel density on the Note 2 but quickly got over that. I think the reason I noticed it was because I was using the S3. After a couple of days, I didn't even think about it anymore.
