What’s your must have apps?

Nova Launcher (Pro) is the one I use most often - on any phone I owned since it came out.

Magisk since it came out, SuperSU before that, for rooting. (And Magisk Charging Switch, to shut the charging off at 95%.)

TWRP for backups, installation, sideloading, etc.

A terminal app (I've been using Terminal Emulator for Android for quite a long time).

GSam Battery Monitor to let me know when to charge.

Maps and Waze when I need directions.

Tasker for the things the phone won't do without help.

(Those are the biggies - I have over 100 apps installed and another 600 and some odd saved on my PC.)

Everything but Nova and Tasker are free.

There are only a few free apps that you could trust nowadays. Most of the free apps have so many ads that it becomes an annoying task to use them with ads and game advertisements literally being rubbed on your face. Also, some are downright scams. But I would have to say that WhatsApp is my favorite.
As far as paid apps are concerned, there is only one app that I actually paid for - a monitoring app called Xnspy. I use this app to keep on my teens from work. It has some pretty cool features (text messages and call monitoring, surround recording, GPS location tracking, and lot more). I can know where they are and what are they doing from miles away.
