What Android can I use on ATT?

Besides the misfit backflip, what other unlocked or how do I unlock a phone to use on ATT.

I am going to one day be a BB convert but dont know which ones I can use for ATT.

So,
Which Phone?
Software?
How to unlock?

Not really sure of the "root" situation but I am sure I will have to do it.

Telus Milestone (in Canada) is the GSM Droid $600 CA
N1 either version works, but the ATT one does 3G $529
Telus GSM Hero (Canada again) $500 CA
HTC Desire Europe (may or may not work on 3G)
HTC Legend Europe (may or may not work on 3G)

I had the same issue and ended up going with the ATT version of the N1 which should be delivered tomorrow. The backflip is a really weird design plus it's got so much ATT crap on it to make it not usable. The nice thing about the N1 is it'll get the latest updates first and is very easy to root to swap out and try different rom besides the stock one.

One word of caution on the Milestone, if you decide to go that route make sure you get the QWERTY version of it and not the QWERTZ version. The Y and the Z are swapped which would a real PITA for most ppl.

The Desire out of EU will not work on AT&T 3G bands you need to get the one from Telstra but make sure you are in an area with 850 band support.
