What version of Android is the current software version for Verizon G3?

4.4.2, if that's what you mean. There's been no word on whether it's getting 4.4.4, or perhaps they're waiting to jump to 5.0 when it gets released.

I just wasn't sure. I got my phone less than a week ago and I've seen a few mentions of an update that was received in September so I was just curious.

Remember that system updates pushed by the carrier don't necessarily mean an update to a higher Android version. With Verizon, it's often just various bugfixes, security patches, or tweaks to the preinstalled bloatware.

There have been no system updates since launch for Verizon.

There was a time when I thought that US carriers were obstructive of updates, whereas I now realise that they have to test them first before releasing them, which is of course commendable. I therefore beg their pardon.
