What are all these calendars?

I'm new to Android and a little confused about my calendars. I'm using Business Calendar Pro and have an agenda widget set up which shows me my upcoming meetings. However, it is doubling up on my personal meetings. I'd like to have only two calendar accounts: my work (MS Exchange) and my Gmail calendar where I enter my personal meetings. I'm not interested in using the Samsung account.

Business Calendar allows you to select which calendars are shown in the app as well as the widget. I have these calendars to choose from:
My Calendar
Samsung Calendar
My Calendars (KNOX)
my gmail calendar account
Birthdays

All are selected except the first two. What are these? Are they local device calendars?

Also, I entered a personal meeting on a Saturday in my Gmail calendar but it also appears in my work calendar (the KNOX account), hence the duplication. When I check my work calendar at my office it is not shown there. So why is showing on my device under my work calendar?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Disable the Knox calendar unless you've downloaded Knox and are using it. (The phone comes with a Knox stub - Knox has to be installed).

Any calendars you have linked (like another Google calendar) will show in your Google (not gmail even if it's the same address) calendar, so if you show them both you'll be duplicating them on the server and on your phone, which will show the same one twice.

What is your "work calendar at my office"? Outlook? That wouldn't be shown on any of the ones you listed.
