I was quite happy with the Z3 Compact, especially due to the great battery life, waterproofness and the comfortable bulky form factor. Sadly I have found it to be less durable than any other phone I've ever owned.
After almost a year of owning it in August the glass back cover cracked in my pocket without the phone being dropped. I sent it back to Sony and received it back in September, having paid £90 for replacing a piece of glass.
Now a few months later, the LCD display broke inside my pocket without any apparent damage to the phone (the glass on top of the screen is fine). The phone has never been dropped and I don't even wear skinny jeans to have applied any pressure on it, so I have absolutely no idea what could be the cause of this.
I am weary of sending the phone back to Sony, as they will once again charge me a ridiculous amount to fix it or ask me for £30 for "analysing" it. I guess I'll just try to replace the LCD on my own, but suffice it to say, this is the last Sony phone I'll ever own.
